Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 2, 2026
1. Scope and controller
This Privacy Policy explains how SWB Technologies, a California sole proprietorship, handles personal information through Financial Portfolio Manager, financialportfoliomanager.com, app.financialportfoliomanager.com, and related support and service communications. It does not cover third-party sites governed by their own policies.
SWB Technologies is responsible for information used to create and operate accounts, provide support, secure the service, and administer subscriptions. When a Business customer decides to enter and manage personal information about other people, that customer may be the business or controller and SWB Technologies may act as its service provider, contractor, or processor. Business customers are responsible for authority, notices, requests, and lawful use.
2. Information we collect
- Account and identity information, such as email address, display name, verification status, authentication records, and account settings.
- Customer content, such as household and individual names, portfolio names, tickers, share quantities, allocation information, preferences, and other information entered into the service.
- Subscription and transaction records, such as plan, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, status, billing dates, invoices, billing address, trial eligibility, U.S.-only eligibility confirmation, and automatic-renewal consent evidence. Stripe handles full payment-card details.
- Support and communications information, including messages, requested actions, and a minimal record of refund decisions or account requests.
- Technical and security information, such as IP address, device and browser information, request metadata, authentication/session data, error records, and abuse-prevention signals.
- Product usage information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service. On the public site, Vercel Web Analytics provides aggregated page-view statistics without cookies or persistent identifiers. Query strings and fragments are removed before page URLs are sent, and no custom events are collected at launch.
3. Sources
We collect information directly from you; automatically from your browser, device, and use of the service; from service providers that process authentication, hosting, email, payments, and security events; and from public or licensed market-data sources for investment reference information.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to perform our agreement with you, operate and secure the service, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, and carry out the specific purposes disclosed when information is collected.
An email address and authentication information are required to create and secure an account. Subscription and billing information is required for a paid plan. Without required information, we cannot create the account, authenticate you, or provide paid access. Portfolio and household content is optional, although features that depend on omitted content will not work.
- Provide, personalize, maintain, and secure the service.
- Authenticate users, enforce plan entitlements, process subscriptions, prevent repeat trials, and manage deletion or recovery.
- Send transactional messages about identity, billing, service status, deletion, security, and support.
- Diagnose errors, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect people and the service.
- Improve the product using privacy-conscious, minimized operational information.
5. How we disclose information
We disclose information to processors and service providers only as needed for their services, including Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting and application delivery), Stripe (billing), Resend (transactional email), and market-data providers. Supabase, Vercel, and Resend generally process service data on our instructions. Stripe processes billing data for us and may also act as an independent controller for its own payment, fraud-prevention, compliance, and legal purposes under its privacy policy. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in a business transfer, or at your direction.
SWB Technologies does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. SWB Technologies does not use customer financial content for targeted advertising.
6. Service area and provider locations
Financial Portfolio Manager subscriptions are offered only to customers located in the 50 United States or District of Columbia for use there. We do not use IP-address geoblocking, so the public website may remain technically accessible elsewhere. Creating an account or accessing the website from elsewhere does not make a person eligible for a trial or subscription.
SWB Technologies is based in the United States. Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, Resend, and their subprocessors may process information in the United States and other documented provider locations as needed to deliver and support their services. Provider processing remains governed by our contracts and this Privacy Policy.
7. Cookies and similar technology
The authenticated application uses essential cookies and similar storage for sign-in, session refresh, security, and authentication request state. Customer-selected dashboard preferences are stored with the account rather than in browser storage. The public site uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated page-view statistics without setting analytics cookies. It does not use advertising cookies. Stripe and other hosted providers may set cookies on their own surfaces. See the Cookie Policy.
8. Retention and deletion
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, including account operation, security, billing, disputes, legal obligations, and documented recovery windows. Account deletion has a 30-day active-data recovery period. Downgrade data may be quarantined for 90 days. Backup copies expire on their documented schedules. A one-way trial-eligibility identifier may be retained to prevent repeat trials. See the Retention and Deletion Policy for details.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
You may access and correct common account information through account settings, cancel billing, or request account deletion. You may also email support@financialportfoliomanager.com to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of applicable personal information. We may verify your identity and may retain or deny a request where law permits or requires. Data export is not available through self-service.
Depending on the U.S. state law that applies to SWB Technologies, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, obtain information about disclosures, opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, appeal certain decisions, and receive nondiscriminatory treatment. Because SWB Technologies does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no separate sale/sharing opt-out.
When an applicable U.S. state privacy law requires a response period, we will respond within that period. For California requests governed by the CCPA, the ordinary response period is 45 calendar days, subject to a permitted extension and verification.
SWB Technologies does not use personal information to make a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.
10. Security and children
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption, access controls, authentication, logging, and backups. No method is perfectly secure.
The service is for adults and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child submitted personal information directly to SWB Technologies, contact support@financialportfoliomanager.com. Customer-entered household records may describe other people; the account owner is responsible for having authority to enter and manage that information.
11. Policy changes and contact
We will post changes with a revised date and provide reasonable notice of material changes. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to support@financialportfoliomanager.com.
